Scholarships

The Woodridge Foundation awards up to thirteen major scholarships to no less than fifteen recipients annually*. The scholarships are available to students in order to assist in their post-secondary education. Applicants must be accepted to and enrolled in an accredited college or university to pursue at least a four year undergraduate degree (except Thomas Wright Cuyahoga Falls Lions Club and Falls Auto Body/Gearheads Scholarships). Each scholarship requires a minimum 2.5 GPA unless specifically noted.

The I.O. and Mary Frances Forbs Adams Memorial Scholarship
  • One $2,500 Scholarship awarded
  • Graduating senior with high school 2.5 GPA or higher.
  • Applicants must have demonstrated a commitment to developing their intellectual, social and spiritual potential.
  • Applicants must have a reputation for being honest, kind, moral and socially responsible.
  • Will pursue a bachelor’s degree in next fall term at an accredited college or university.
The Paul and Mildred Underwood Memorial Scholarship
  • One $1,500 scholarship awarded
  • Graduating senior with high school 2.5 GPA or higher
  • Pursuing 4 year undergraduate degree
  • Active in school and community
  • Registered for fall semester of college and show receipt of admission
The Margaret Broughton/Louis “Tubby” Fox Scholarship
  • One $1,000 scholarship awarded
  • Applicant must be a resident of Peninsula
The Faber Scholarship
  • Two $500 scholarships awarded to one male and one female
The GOJO Industries Scholarship
  • Two $500 scholarships awarded to one male and one female
  • Applicants must plan to pursue a business or science degree
The Thomas Wright Cuyahoga Falls Lions Club Scholarship
  • One $500 scholarship awarded
  • Applicant must be a resident of Cuyahoga Falls
  • In addition to an accredited four-year college or university program, applicant may also be enrolled in business school, art school, apprentice programs, etc.
The Woodridge Foundation Scholarship
  • One $1,000 scholarship awarded
The Patrick Feeney Memorial Scholarship
  • One $500 scholarship awarded
  • Applicant must have participated in track or cross country
  • Show examples of community service and leadership
The Barbara Meyers Memorial Scholarship
  • One $200 scholarship awarded
The Eugenia Garman Memorial Scholarship
  • One $500 scholarship awarded
Falls Auto Body/Gearheads Scholarship
  • $1,000 available in scholarship money
  • Pursue education in Automotive Field in general
  • Enrolled in Vocational/Trade School or college
Working on a Dream (W.O.A.D)  Scholarship
  • $2,500 scholarship
  • Business Major
Decker Fasteners Scholarship
  • $1,000 scholarship awarded

State 8 Motorcycles Scholarship

  • $1,000 scholarship awarded

Heidi LaGasse Memorial Scholarship

  • One $1,000 scholarship awarded
  • Education Major
  • Requires 250 word essay written by a friend about how applicant values friendship.

Randall Keller Scholarship

  • One $500 scholarship awarded
  • Demonstrate entrepreneural qualities
  • Become a future business owner or entrepreneur

Julia Slocum Memorial Scholarship

  • One $500 scholarship awarded
  • Community service in education or music
  • Education (priority given to Special Education Major) or Music Major

Melinda Bond Remington Memorial Scholarship

  • Four $2,500 scholarships awarded
  • Majors considered: Education, Arts, Athletics/Sports and Trade School
  • Community service and good moral character beneficial

Ann Henshaw Ferrari Memorial Scholarship

  • Two $2,500 scholarships awarded
  • Majors considered: Speech/Language and Music
  • Community service and good moral character beneficial
